The counter shop next door: fasteners, builders' hardware, hand tools and plumbing fittings, in the sizes people actually come in asking for.
Most of what leaves this counter is small - a dozen screws, a pair of hinges, a tap washer. The point of the shop is that it has them, in the right size, without an order and without a wait.
Screws, bolts and nails
Wood screws, self-drilling screws, hex bolts and wire nails, sold by the piece or by the kilo.
Hinges, bolts and locks
Butt hinges, tower bolts, door handles and padlocks in the common sizes and finishes.
Hand tools
Screwdriver sets, claw hammers and measuring tapes for trade and household use.
Plumbing fittings
PVC elbows, tees and ball valves in half, three-quarter and one inch.
Over the counter
No minimum order and no account needed. Bring the broken part or a photograph of it and we will match the size, which is quicker for everyone than a description.
For site teams
Contractors working with the paint side next door put their fixings on the same delivery. A list sent in the morning is picked, packed and loaded with the paint order rather than collected separately.

If we do not have it
Sizes we do not keep are usually with us in two or three working days. We take a number and call when it is in rather than asking anyone to come back on the chance.
